The International Stamp Exhibition  "London-2022" was held from February 19 to 26, 2022

The exhibition was originally supposed to take place in 2020, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, it was postponed to 2022 and its holding was in doubt until the last moment.

This is one of the largest exhibitions in recent times - more than 500 exhibits from 60 countries of the world were declared to participate. The exhibition "London-2022" has an international status and is held under the patronage of FIP (International Federation of Philately).

More than 300 exhibits belonged to the Literature class. These are various printed catalogues, philatelic magazines, monographs and publications. Recently, in the Literature class, a separate subsection has been allocated for digital publications and websites. At the London-2022 exhibition, 38 exhibits from 16 countries, including Russia, were submitted in the digital literature class. Both personal sites and sites of philatelic organizations and societies took part in the exhibition.

At philatelic exhibitions, exhibits are not compared with each other, each exhibit is evaluated individually according to several criteria, assigning a certain number of points. So for websites and electronic publications there are 4 main criteria:

1) Treatment of contents (the maximum possible number of points is 40).
2) Originality and research (40 points).
3) Technical (15 points).
4) Presentation (5 points).

The total score of the exhibit is formed from the sum of the points scored and, accordingly, this or that medal is awarded. These criteria are based on the criteria for evaluating printed literature, they were adapted to the electronic format and approved in 2019. In my opinion, the distribution of points by category is not entirely suitable for evaluating sites, but for philately this is a relatively new format and, perhaps, over time, the criteria will be finalized and the estimates will become more adequate.

The site "Horses on Stamps" was among the exhibits of the International Stamp Exhibition "London-2022" in the digital literature class. The site received a final score of 81 points out of 100 possible (33+31+12+5) and accordingly was awarded a Vermeil medal.

Most of the sites presented were sites of philatelic societies (15 out of 30). It was they who scored the maximum number of points, apparently for a more tangible contribution to the development of philately. Thus, the Great Britain Philatelic Society website (https://www.gbps.org.uk) received the Big Gold Medal with 95 points.

There were literally a few personal thematic sites: the German site "Paleophilatelie" about paleontology in philately (http://www.paleophilatelie.eu), my site "Horses on stamps", the French site about stamps and teeth (http://www.timbreetdent.eu) and two blogs on thematic philately: Portuguese "O filatelista" (https://o-filatelista.blogspot.com) and Brazilian "Portal do Filatelista tematico" (https://www.filatelista-tematico-blog.net).

Each site was studied and judged by a group of several members of an international jury (the literature class was judged by members of the jury from the UK, Italy, Canada and Denmark). As a result, each participant of the exhibition received an evaluation sheet with points and an indication of the assigned medal.

The "Horses on Stamps" site was not the only equestrian exhibit at the London show. In the Youth Philately class, two more exhibits dedicated to horses were exhibited:

1. Horses in the service of man - in the past and today.  Annabel Tampe from Germany - 70 points, Silver medal.

2. "Horses" Aurélie Jungblut from Luxembourg - 69 points, Silver / Bronze medal.

More detailed information on the results of the exhibition, participants, exhibits and evaluations can be found in the published Booklet.
