On December 2, 2021, the Deutsche Post issued a series of "Heroes of Childhood" postage stamps.

The postage stamps are dedicated to famous radio plays that have delighted children and teenagers for many years. It is difficult to imagine now, but earlier radio plays were extremely popular. In many homes in the evening, children were looking forward to the release of the new part to learn about the adventures of their favorite heroes. These stories, heard in childhood, remain in our memory for life.

The EUR 0.60 stamp is dedicated to the very popular radio show "Bibi and Tina" in Germany, and the EUR 0.80 stamp is dedicated to the children's detective show "Three ???"

"Bibi and Tina" is a story about the friendship and adventures of two girls Bibi and Tina. At the same time, Bibi is not an ordinary 13-year-old girl with blond hair and freckles - she is a little witch from Neustadt. Bibi is just mastering her unusual abilities and learning to conjure. She is cocky and courageous, but she has a good heart and tries to do good deeds. Although, I must admit that Bibi loves to use her magical abilities for funny pranks. Her best friend, Tina, lives on a small farm in Martinshof. Tina is a year older than Bibi, and she lives with her brother Holger on a horse farm owned by their mother, Susanne Martin.

Bibi and Tina are crazy about horses and are passionate about horse riding. Every time Bibi visits Martinshof, they go horseback riding. Bibi has a favorite gray filly Sabrina, and Tina has a red stallion Amadeus. Together, they go through a lot of fun and interesting adventures.

"Bibi Blocksberg" is a character invented by the British-Austrian writer Alfie Donnelly in 1980. Alfie Donnelly has written many books and radio shows for children, 40 episodes of stories about Bibi Blocksberg have become one of her main literary works. The radio play "Bibi and Tina" appeared 30 years ago in 1991 on the KIDDINX channel. It evolved from several episodes of the original story. The resounding success of the radio play, which now has more than 100 episodes, has led to the appearance of many books and comics, the creation of an animated series and computer games. In addition, 4 full-length films about the adventures of Bibi and Tina were shot, the fifth film is in production, which is due to be released in February 2022.

Just like 30 years ago, Bibi and Tina remain favorite children's heroes. They are still interesting for children, taking them into an exciting world of fun, magical adventures. It is not without reason that this is a series of postage stamps issued by the German Post called "Heroes of Childhood".

On the first day of issue, 02.12.2021, postage stamps were canceled with a special postmark in Bonn. Another postmark was used on 04.12.2021 in Wustermark.

Many have probably noticed that a new element has appeared on postage stamps - this is the matrixcode. It appeared on German postage stamps for the first time in February 2021. This digital code allows you to track your mailings using the dedicated Post & DHL mobile app. In the application, you can also find out brief information about the plot of the staamp, and the code also provides additional protection against counterfeiting. According to the Deutsche Post, by 2022, the matrix code will appear on all postage stamps in the country.
