On July 20, 2018, Belarus Post issued a postage stamp "Belarusian Fire Service".
The stamp depicts a 19th century fire helmet and the modern emblem of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. The denomination of the stamp "A" corresponds to the tariff for sending a simple letter weighing up to 20 g inclusive within the Republic of Belarus.
In the upper left corner of the stamp, a fire-barrel chute drawn by a pair of horses is depicted. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, water was delivered to fires in barrels on horse-drawn carts, which were called barrel chute. By the way, "bochka" is a Russian unit of liquid volume equal to 40 buckets or 492 liters. In addition to a barrel with a supply of water, a fire pump was installed on the horse-drawn fire chute, and irrigation and intake hoses, pump pumps, and other fire-fighting equipment were also transported on it.
When developing the brand, designer Tatyana Kuznetsova used an old photograph from 1906 depicting a fire brigade in front of the Minsk Voluntary Fire Brigade depot building.
A fire brigade usually consisted of several horse-drawn carriages, each carriage, depending on its purpose, was equipped with appropriate devices for delivering barrels of water, pumps, pipes and other fire extinguishing equipment, as well as members of the fire brigade.
