On April 28, 2023, the Poland Post issued a minisheet dedicated to the Lublin Voivodeship in the series "The Beauty of Poland".

The Beauty of Poland series was launched in 2022. The first issue was dedicated to the beauties of Podlasie. This year's philatelic edition introduces us to the sights of the Lublin region. Picturesquely located between the Vistula and the Bug, it attracts with the beauty of both natural and man-made monuments. The region has absorbed the cultures of East and West, Orthodox churches, synagogues, Catholic and Uniate churches coexist here. National parks with a magical aura of wildlife also make the Lubelskie Voivodeship one of the most attractive tourist regions in Poland.

Five of the six minisheet stamps are dedicated to architecture. The stamps show the Collegiate Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Chelm, the panorama of the Market Square in Zamość, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hrubieszów, ul. Spirit in the Koden and the 17th century Synagogue in Szczebrzeszyn.

One of the stamps of the series strongly stands out from the general architectural range - after all, it depicts grazing horses. There is nothing surprising in this, since the stamp is dedicated to the Roztochansky National Park, one of the largest in the territory of the Lublin Voivodeship. The park was founded in 1974. It covers an area of 84 sq. km. and boasts unique forests occupying 95% of the territory. Among the mammals living in the park are red deer, roe deer, wild boar, red fox, gray wolf and Eurasian badger and beavers, and about 190 bird species have been recorded in the park, including eagles, storks and woodpeckers. Guests of the park have the opportunity to walk along several hiking, landscape or educational trails, there is also a special bike trail.

In 1982 Roztocze National Park started a breeding program for Polish Konik. This is a local Polish breed of medium-sized horses, which, when bred, was greatly influenced by tarpans (which disappeared in the wild in the 19th century). Therefore, in the appearance of Polish Konik, in addition to being short and mousey, there are many features of a wild horse. Polish horses, who live on free pasture all year round with little or no human intervention, can be easily seen in the park, in addition, a special observation deck is equipped near the ponds.

The herd of Polish Konik, living in the territory of the national park, eventually became the main attraction and a bright recognizable symbol of Roztocze - the horse is depicted on the emblem of the park.
