On February 29, 2020, North Korea Post issued a series of postage stamps dedicated to the new Yangdok Hot Spring Resort.
In January 2020, the new Yangdok Hot Spring Resort was inaugurated. A resort with unique hot springs on the mountain slopes is located in the southeast of South Pyonggang province. The health and wellness and sports center includes residential buildings, thermal springs and spa areas, which are located both indoors and outdoors. There are also horse riding and equestrian sports grounds on the territory. On the slopes there are ski slopes with all the necessary infrastructure.
It was these objects, along with the resort logo, that were chosen by designers Choe Chol Man and Kim Hae Yong for placement on 2 stamps and miniature sheet.
