On January 4, 2019, Monaco Post issued a stamp commemorating the 10th anniversary of the International Circus Federation.
This year, in addition to the annual stamp commemorating the Monte-Carlo Circus Festival, Monaco Post issued another stamp commemorating the 10th anniversary of the International Circus Federation. The Federation, founded in 2019, is a non-profit organization created to promote the development of circus arts and culture worldwide and to represent the interests of circus at the international level. The Federation's headquarters are in Monte Carlo, and its Honorary President is Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.
This time, artist Elena Zaïka, who designed the postage stamp, generously included horses. Among the various circus animals depicted along the edges of the stamp, eight horses can be found, and another stylized horse is hidden within the emblem in the center.
The same emblem was used in the design of a special postmark issued for the first day of the stamp's release.
