400th anniversary of the birth of Miklós Zrínyi

On April 2, 2020, the Hungarian Post issued a postage stamp in honor of the 400th anniversary of the birth of the Hungarian military leader and poet Miklós Zrínyi.

For the design of the postage stamp, artist Szilvia Lázár used an old lithograph by Johann Hofmann with an equestrian portrait of Miklós Zrínyi. On it, a commander with a saber in his hand with a resolute look sits on a war horse. On the left, over the artist's portrait, she placed an excerpt from "An Antidote to the Turkish Poison" - one of the most famous works of the poet.
