Nature Conservation: Milovice
On September 8, 2021, the Czech Post issued a miniature sheet in the series Nature Conservation: Milovice. The Milovice Nature Reserve, founded in 2015 by Česká krajina, is located near the town of Milovice in the Nymburk region of central Bohemia. As a method of preserving a rare ecosystem, scientists proposed an interesting solution: to settle three species of large herbivorous mammals in the reserve: bison, aurochs and wild horses, and to organize the so-called nature conservation grazing. |
