World Post Day

The Philatelic Bureau of the Department of Posts will issue a new postage stamp in the denomination of Rs 15.00 on October 09, 2018 to mark the commemoration of the 144th World Post Day of 2018.

Arrangements have been made to celebrate the 2018 World Post Day National Celebration in the historic city of Kandy on a grand scale. The World Post Day 2018 commemorative stamp issued to mark this occasion has been designed depicting the old Post Office of Kandy and the mail carriage used in the past for the transport of postal goods between Kandy and Colombo.
