Endangered species
On March 3, 2023, the UN Geneva office issued a series of postage stamps "Endangered Species". The series is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of CITES - Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. An international agreement signed in 1973 is designed to protect endangered wild animals and plants. The Convention regulates the rules for trade in more than 38,000 species of wild animals and plants so that all transactions comply with the law, are transparent and, of course, do not harm the population of protected animal species. |
