900 years of victory in the Battle of Didgori

On January 10, 2022, the Georgian Post issued a souvenir sheet in honor of the 900th anniversary of the Battle of Didgori.

The Battle of Didgori, which took place on August 12, 1121, is the most famous battle and the greatest military victory in the history of the Georgian state. In the battle of Didgori, the Georgian troops defeated the army of the Seljuk Turks, which was many times superior to them.

On the souvenir sheet , the artist Badri Gagnidze depicted King David IV on horseback before the Battle of Didgori in a very restrained color scheme.
