100th Anniversary of the Philatelic Club in Pardubice. 1922 - 2022

In honor of the anniversary of the Pardubice Philatelic Club, a commemorative stamp was issued with the coat of arms of the city of Pardubice and a commemorative inscription and the date 1922-2022. The stamp was applied at the post office 530 01 Pardubice 1 from 22 to 26 October 2022.

Exactly one hundred years ago, on October 22, 1922, the Pardubice Philatelic Club was founded in Pardubice, at that time it consisted of only 16 people. The Pardubice Philatelic Club is one of the oldest philatelic organizations in the Czech Republic. For 100 years of its existence, the activity of the club has never stopped, although at times the work of the club has become less active. The club maintains a kind of chronicle, which already has several hundred pages, there are also lists of members of the Pardubice Philatelists Club for different years - in total, more than 3,000 people are obtained.

During the work of the club, 28 philatelic exhibitions of various directions and scales were organized. Members of the Pardubice Club of Philatelists participate in exhibitions and other events with their exhibits, and are also authors of publications in Czech and foreign philatelic magazines.
