Association between the horses and the friends of the Arabian horses (The Association of Breeders and Friends of the Arabian Horse - VZAP) The Association of Arabian Horse Breeders and Friends is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is the preservation and development of the Arabian horse breed in Germany. The association was founded on February 15, 1949, in Frankfurt by a group of Arabian horse enthusiasts. Since 1990, the VZAP has had its permanent representative office in Hanover. VZAP is a member of the World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO). Today, the association unites thousands of breeders, enthusiasts, and owners of Arabian horses. VZAP maintains studbooks for all Arabian breeds (Purebred Arabians, Shagya Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, and Half-Blood Arabian horses), approves studbook standards, and promotes sound breeding and selection methods. The association organizes various events, including national horse shows and exhibitions, Arabian horse days, sporting competitions, and also conducts auctions and horse appraisals. Thus, promoting the Arabian breed among the general public in every possible way. VZAP provides its members with consultations on horse breeding, maintenance, and training, helping to improve the professional level of breeders. | ||||||
